According to SMM research, the comprehensive operating rate of the domestic aluminum wire and cable industry in December 2023 showed a slight month-on-month decrease of 1.7 percentage points to 47.83%. Due to a slowdown in terminal deliveries and a strong rebound in aluminum prices, the overall operating rate of aluminum wire and cable in December showed a weakening trend. The operating rate of large enterprises in December decreased by approximately 2 percentage points to 51.3% compared to the previous month, while the operating rate of medium-sized enterprises decreased by 1.35 percentage points to 48.73%, and the operating rate of small enterprises decreased by 5.1 percentage points to 28.21%.
