In terms of import profits from SMM, the profit from imported ore has slightly increased. From a fundamental perspective, according to SMM statistics, the impact of pig iron due to blast furnace maintenance this week (February 3 to February 9) was 1.7669 million tons, a decrease of 96,600 tons compared to the maintenance impact last week. Next week (February 10 to February 16), the impact of pig iron due to blast furnace maintenance will be 1.69 million tons, a decrease of 76,900 tons compared to this week. There is still room for an increase in pig iron production in the future, while overseas shipment volume has declined. The contradiction in the fundamental aspects of iron ore is not significant. It is expected that the price of iron ore will remain weak and stable before the Spring Festival, and the profit from imported ore may oscillate weakly.
