China ROM iron ore output in December 2023 hit a new high in the same period of the past six years

In December, spot price of domestic iron ore kept hiking, making mines’ production enthusiasm active. According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, China's ROM iron ore output inched higher from the previous month and was up 0.4% YoY at 86.033 million mt in December 2023, hitting a new high in the same period of the past six years. Annual ROM output was 990.555 million mt, up 7.1% YoY.
