SMM Daily Report: Lithium Carbonate Prices Stabilize on January 18th. SMM's battery-grade lithium carbonate index was 95,464 yuan/ton, up 10 yuan/ton from the previous working day; the average price for battery-grade lithium carbonate was 93,000-100,000 yuan/ton, with an average price of 96,500 yuan/ton, holding steady compared to the previous working day; the average price for industrial-grade lithium carbonate was 86,600-90,000 yuan/ton, with an average price of 88,300 yuan/ton, holding steady compared to the previous working day. Today, lithium salt companies continued their strategy of firm pricing for the sale of lithium carbonate spot goods, but feedback from cathode material companies showed low acceptance of prices, with some trading companies maintaining a discount of 500 yuan/ton to a premium of 500 yuan/ton for the sale of spot goods. The prices have decreased with no stimulation to downstream purchasing sentiment, and instead, the wait-and-see sentiment has become stronger due to expectations of reduced orders in February. In the short term, the trading prices for spot goods in the market are basically stable, with no clear signs of significant fluctuations.
