【CITIC Securities Futures: It is expected that the four major iron ore mines will add 15 million tons of iron ore production capacity in 2024】Global iron ore supply mainly comes from four major mines, and the supply situation of these mines largely determines the global iron ore supply pattern. In recent years, the production of these four major mines has steadily increased, especially the strong performance of BHP and FMG in shipping. Currently, the four major mines are actively promoting new capacity expansion plans. It is estimated that from 2023 to 2029, the cumulative new capacity of the four major mines will reach 200 million tons, with the majority of the capacity release concentrated in 2025, when there will be an additional capacity of 128 million tons. In 2024, it is expected that the four major mines will add 15 million tons of new capacity.
