SMM December 29th News, SMM battery-grade lithium carbonate index was 95,714 yuan/ton, down 10 yuan/ton from the previous working day; battery-grade lithium carbonate price range was 93,000-100,800 yuan/ton, with an average price of 96,900 yuan/ton, down 0.01 yuan/ton from the previous working day; industrial-grade lithium carbonate price range was 85,500-90,500 yuan/ton, with an average price of 88,000 yuan/ton, unchanged from the previous working day.
Approaching the end of the year, market transactions remain light. Currently, traders continue to engage in arbitrage between spot and futures prices due to the recent widening price difference, resulting in a slight increase in purchasing demand for lithium salts. Meanwhile, some salt factories have strengthened their willingness to deliver goods at relatively high futures prices, leading to a growing sentiment of support from the supply side, maintaining a weak and stable market situation.
