【SMM Iron Ore Weekly Report】Looking ahead to next week, recent overseas mine shipments are in the end-of-year surge phase. Although the amount of iron ore arriving at ports last week fell sharply due to weather effects, there has been some improvement this week, and it is expected that the amount arriving at ports will increase significantly. As the year-end approaches, steel mill blast furnace annual maintenance plans are increasing, and a significant decrease in pig iron production is expected. At the same time, considering that steel mill inventories are low and replenishment before the Spring Festival will gradually begin, overall demand for iron ore may be maintained. Additionally, although current macroeconomic sentiment is biased towards being positive, considering the poor profitability of steel mills, the high valuation of iron ore and regulatory risks still exist, and it is expected that iron ore prices next week may continue to fluctuate.
