On December 12th, the Brazilian government approved measures to increase import tariffs on photovoltaic components and wind turbines, which will officially take effect on January 1, 2024, with a tax rate of 10.8%. The Brazilian Ministry of Industry and Trade stated in a declaration that the government has cancelled the 12% import tax subsidy for photovoltaic components because similar products are also produced in the country. At the same time, the Brazilian government also revoked more than 300 temporary tax reduction measures for solar components, which will take effect within 60 days.
