Hebei Province Electricity Regulations (Revised Draft): Reasonable Layout of Pumped Storage Power Stations and New Energy Storage Projects

On December 15th, the Hebei Provincial People's Congress issued a notice on the public solicitation of opinions on the "Hebei Provincial Electricity Regulations (Revised Draft)", which pointed out that people's governments at or above the county level and their relevant departments should, in accordance with the requirements of increasing the regulation capacity of the power system and in combination with the regional resource advantages, reasonably layout pumped storage power stations and various new energy storage projects to guide the safe, orderly, and market-oriented development of energy storage. In addition, power supply enterprises should strengthen the grid supporting engineering construction for power and energy storage projects. The grid supporting engineering should be designed, constructed, accepted, and put into use simultaneously with the power and energy storage projects.
