Inventory build-up to put silicon wafer prices at downside risk in December

Mainstream transaction prices of monocrystalline silicon wafer 182mm and 210mm plummeted to 2.2-2.3 yuan/piece and 3.15-3.3 yuan/piece this week. Silicon wafer prices, especially P-type prices, fell this week. Affected by terminal demand and market expectations, the N-type and P-type prices further diverged this week, seeing a dip in the former and a range-bound movement in the latter. The overall silicon wafer inventory turned from falling to rising. With high scheduled production, silicon wafer inventory may pile up in December, putting price at downside risk.
