【Midsummer plans to build a 200MW CIGS thin-film solar cell factory in Sweden】Swedish CIGS thin-film solar cell manufacturer Midsummer has completed negotiations regarding funding conditions from the EU Innovation Fund, and has signed a grant agreement with the EU (which stipulates the construction timetable, subsidy payment dates, financing progress, etc.) to advance its plans to build a 200MW solar cell factory in Sweden. The company's goal is to install equipment and conduct functional testing, ensure factory certification, and train employees by 2025, according to the signed funding agreement. The planned start of production is in the first quarter of 2026.

Midsummer is also building another 50MW solar cell factory in Italy. The company's goal is to expand total production capacity to over 1GW by 2030.
