The lithium carbonate futures contract experienced a comprehensive decline on December 4th, with the main contract LC2401 falling below 100,000 yuan/ton for the first time, closing down 6.95% at 96,350 yuan/ton, marking the lowest level since its listing on the market.

In terms of the spot market, according to data from TrendForce, on December 4th, the price range for battery-grade lithium carbonate in China was 122,000-132,000 yuan/ton, with an average market price of 127,000 yuan/ton; the price range for industrial-grade lithium carbonate was 112,000-121,000 yuan/ton, with an average market price of 116,500 yuan/ton.

The sharp drop in lithium carbonate prices has had a certain impact on the lithium battery industry chain. Recently, companies such as Tianqi Lithium, Ganfeng Lithium, Yahua Group, Tibet Summit Resources, and YAHUA Group have responded to this issue.
