"Saudi to double investment in aluminum projects

An official in Saudi Arabia has announced that the country has injected at least $12 billion into the aluminum industry and has set a goal to double the investment in these projects. Deputy Minister for Mineral Affairs at the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, Khaled Al-Mudaifer, stated that Saudi Arabia is the largest economy in the Arab world and has invested over $32 billion in the metal industry as part of its ongoing economic diversification plans. With substantial investments from the public and private sectors, the world's largest oil exporter aims to become one of the top ten aluminum producers."
