PV Glass Prices At Downside Risk In December

As of December 1st, PV glass prices remained stable last week. Current quotes for 3.2mm and 2.0mm PV glass are 26.5-27.5 and 17.5-18.5 yuan/square meter respectively. With the December glass pricing period nearing, the spot market saw virtually no transactions.

Regarding December's glass price forecast, SMM predicts that module producers will still try to push for lower purchase prices. Despite current cost trends rising, actual demand and inventory pressures will pressure glass producers. As such, glass companies are also inclined to slightly lower prices in hopes of boosting sales, indicating a strong expectation for future price declines.
