Guizhou recently successfully completed the full capacity grid-connected commissioning of the 1.65 million kilowatts/3.3 million kilowatt-hours electrochemical independent energy storage project, and also successfully carried out the first full capacity charge and discharge operation. This achievement has expanded Guizhou's energy storage capacity to 1.85 million kilowatts/3.7 million kilowatt-hours, making it the largest electrochemical energy storage base in the five southern provinces.

In recent years, Guizhou has actively implemented the "dual carbon" strategy and promoted the construction of a new type of power system. By the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan, the proportion of new energy installed capacity in Guizhou had increased by nearly 200% compared to the end of the 12th Five-Year Plan. Currently, the scheduled new energy installed capacity in Guizhou has exceeded 16 million kilowatts, accounting for over 26% of the total.
