"【SMM Coking Coal Market Weekly Report】Key points: On the supply side, the coking coal sales of coking enterprises were good this week, with most enterprises at zero inventory and significant profit recovery, leading to increased production enthusiasm and coking coal supply. On the demand side, steel mill profits weakened this week, but pig iron production decreased slowly, leading to rigid demand for coking coal, as well as active purchasing by traders and continued strong demand for coking coal downstream. On the cost side, accident-prone coal mines remained in a state of production suspension this week, leading to tight coke coal supply and with downstream coking and steel companies having winter storage and replenishment needs, resulting in firm coal mine prices. Overall, the supply and demand of coking coal is in a tight balance, with strong support from coking cost, and the market still has expectations for a third round of coking coal price increases, leading to a potential strong performance in the coking coal market next week."
