"Qinghai Science and Technology Department conducts research on titanium-magnesium industry science and technology needs at Zhongtaiqing Forging Equipment Manufacturing Company

Recently, Zhu Shenghai, member of the party group and deputy director of the Qinghai Science and Technology Department, went to the Zhongtaiqing Forging Equipment Manufacturing Company in Haidong City to conduct research on the science and technology needs of the titanium-magnesium industry, and participated in the consultation meeting on technological innovation of titanium-magnesium co-production.

Experts fully discussed the overall design of industrial cluster development, technical solutions, process routes, and problems encountered in construction practice, and suggested further promotion of carbon thermal reduction smelting for magnesium metal technology, and soluble anode electrolytic smelting for titanium metal technology, in order to promote relevant technologies from production to industrialization and scaling. It is unanimously agreed that mature titanium-magnesium co-production technology should be utilized to further optimize processes, reduce the manufacturing cost of sponge titanium, and promote the development of the national titanium industry.
