On November 16th, the first high-power pure electric new energy shunting locomotive equipped with the Yiwei lithium energy battery system rolled off the production line in Zhuzhou, Hunan. The locomotive, tailored by CRRC Zhuzhou for Liangang Group, uses a large-capacity lithium iron phosphate power battery as its sole power source, with a maximum traction power of 1500kW. It is currently the most powerful new pure electric shunting locomotive in domestic production, and can meet the railway transportation needs of the metallurgical, port, power, petrochemical, and mining industries.

According to Liu Pengcheng, the director of the Yiwei Lithium Energy Industrial Battery Research Institute, the locomotive launched this time is equipped with the first-ever 1200kWh ultra-high-power liquid-cooled fast-charging battery system independently developed by Yiwei Lithium Energy. Everything from the battery cells, BMS to the overall system is independently developed, designed, and produced by Yiwei Lithium Energy, and can achieve "super fast charging" of "3 seconds per degree." When fully charged, it can haul 1200 tons of cargo for 128 kilometers, marking a major breakthrough for Yiwei Lithium Energy in the field of rail transportation.
