Ford Motor Co said this week that it will restart plans to build an electric vehicle battery factory in Michigan with China's Contemporary Amperex Technology Co Ltd (CATL). Ford had previously announced in February this year that it would produce lithium iron phosphate batteries at the factory, but the construction was halted in September. In its latest statement, Ford confirmed that it will proceed with the project, while also considering a balance between investment, growth, and profitability by scaling back capacity."
