"[Three Ministries Jointly Held Meeting to Strengthen Supervision of Iron Ore Futures and Spot Market] In response to the recent abnormal and rapid rise in iron ore prices, the Price Supervision Department of the National Development and Reform Commission, the Price Monitoring and Anti-Monopoly Bureau of the State Administration for Market Regulation, and the Futures Department of the China Securities Regulatory Commission organized a meeting with some iron ore trading companies and futures companies to understand their participation in spot and futures trading of iron ore. The meeting required relevant companies to operate in compliance with the law, prohibit the fabrication and dissemination of price increase information, refrain from intentionally creating an atmosphere of rising prices, abstain from hoarding and speculation, avoid price manipulation, and refrain from excessive speculation and manipulation of the futures market."
