ADC12 secondary aluminium alloy import profits turned into losses

As of last Thursday, SMM ADC12 secondary aluminium alloy price fell by 200 yuan/mt WoW to 19,400 yuan/mt.

In terms of imports, the quotation of ADC12 from Malaysian hiked to $2,250-2,280/mt during last week. Due to steep domestic price erosions and the depreciation of the RMB, import market started suffering losses in the range of 200-500 yuan/mt.

In terms of ADC12 prices, short-term aluminium scrap supply is likely to remain tight, offering cost support to ADC12 prices. However, traditional lull demand will curd upside in the prices. ADC12 prices are expected to be stable-to-soft in a short run.
