China’s zinc concentrate imports climbed in September

According to Customs data, China’s zinc concentrate imports in September 2023 were 432,000 mt (physical content), an increase of 0.92% month on month, and a year on year increase of 10.61%. YTD import volume of zinc concentrate through September was 3.53 million mt (physical content), an increase of 22.78% year on year. In September, the top three suppliers were Australia with 125,400 mt, accounting for 29.03%; Peru with 82,300 mt, accounting for 19.05%; and South Africa with 47,100 mt, accounting for 10.91%. The growth in imports from Australia was significant, while imports from Peru and South Africa declined. S
