On November 9th, Ates Sunshine Power Group released news announcing that the company plans to invest in the construction of a 5GW solar silicon wafer production base in Chonburi Province, Thailand. This move marks another important milestone in Ates Sunshine Power Group's global solar industry layout.

The newly built base will produce N-type photovoltaic silicon wafers with an annual capacity of 5GW, which is expected to be put into production in March 2024 to supply Ates Thailand TOPCon battery wafer production base. With the full operation of Ates 5GW battery wafer factory in Fisherville, Indiana, USA in 2025, these silicon wafers will also become an important raw material for the factory.
