Recently, the first phase of the Yibin Weifeng Lithium Industry Co., Ltd. with an annual output of 25,000 tons of battery-grade lithium hydroxide project contracted by China Chemical Chengda Co., Ltd. has been completed and successfully passed the engineering completion acceptance, and is ready for material trial run.

The project officially started design in October 2022, and the on-site civil construction started on December 3, 2022. After 12 months of construction, it was successfully completed and passed the engineering completion acceptance. This is another high-quality lithium salt project successfully constructed by China Chemical Chengda Co., Ltd. after the completion of the 60,000-ton battery-grade lithium hydroxide project of Sichuan Tianhua Times Lithium Energy Co., Ltd. in 2022. The project is located in the Industrial Park of Jiang'an County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province, and is a key project for local investment attraction. The project uses spodumene as raw material, and adopts spodumene sulfuric acid smelting process and lithium sulfate caustic cooling crystallization process to produce battery-grade monohydrate lithium hydroxide.
