Northern Rare Earth’s medium and heavy rare earth metal products achieve large-scale production for the first time

Recently, Ruixin Company successfully trial-produced the first batch of medium and heavy rare earth metal products, also marking the first step towards large-scale production. The rollout of new products not only enriches the product categories of rare earth metals and alloys in Northern Rare Earth, but also fills in the shortcomings of its industrial chain of the rare earth metal sector. What’s more, it also improves the product structure, broadens the value boundary of resources, and provides support for enterprises to open up new economic growth points. An internal employee of the company said: “We achieve industrial-scale continuous trial production of metal gadolinium and gadolinium ferroalloy. The single furnace output, material ratio, and product composition stability all reach the advanced level of the domestic industry. At present, the gadolinium ferroalloy pilot product have been delivered to downstream magnetic material companies for trial use and received good feedback from users.” Yu Bing, deputy director of the Electrolysis Department of Ruixin Company, said that the product can be adopted in many aspects such as rare earth functional materials, special alloys and atomic energy reactors, and is widely used in aerospace, military industry, wind power, automobiles, mobile phones and other end products.
