Turkish Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar stated that by 2035, Turkey's annual installed capacity of solar and wind energy needs to reach 5GW.

At an energy conference, Bayraktar said that Turkey has only thirty years to transform its energy system and the country's agriculture, construction and industrial sectors. He added that renewable energy has great potential in achieving the goal of providing reliable and affordable energy in an environmentally friendly way by 2035.
