The Construction of the 8GWh Advanced Intelligent Lithium Battery Energy Storage System R&D and Manufacturing Base Project in Shangyi County, Zhangjiakou City has Officially Started. According to Hebei News Network, on the morning of October 17th, the 8GWh (Gigawatt-hour) Advanced Intelligent Lithium Battery Energy Storage System R&D and Manufacturing Base Project officially started in the Economic Development Zone of Shangyi County, Zhangjiakou City.

According to Zhang Shiyu, Chairman of Ruien Power Co., Ltd., the project covers an area of 200 mu and has a total investment of 1 billion yuan. The project is divided into two phases, with 4GWh in the first phase and 4GWh in the second phase, and is expected to be completed and put into production by the end of 2024. The designed capacity of the project is 8GWh energy storage battery system, which will be built in four production lines according to the process flow, namely, lithium iron phosphate module manufacturing line, PACK manufacturing line, energy storage system assembly line, aging and system testing platform. After the project is put into production, it is expected that the annual sales income can reach 1.6 billion yuan, and the annual tax payment can exceed 200 million yuan.
