The International Finance Corporation (IFC) has agreed to provide OCP, the world's largest phosphate fertilizer producer, with a €100 million green loan to fund two photovoltaic plants with a combined capacity of 400 MW and 100 MW of storage. These photovoltaic plants will provide power to OCP's mining towns of Benguerir and Khouribga in Morocco, the largest phosphate reserves on Earth.

Previously, IFC had provided OCP with a $100 million credit line in April this year to fund the development of four other photovoltaic plants in the same town, with a total capacity of 202 MW.

OCP's goal is to achieve 100% green energy operations by 2027 and plans to deploy a total of 1.2 GW of photovoltaic projects.
