The National Bureau of Statistics data shows that the average urban survey unemployment rate in the first three quarters of the year was 5.3%. In September, the national urban survey unemployment rate was 5.0%, down 0.2 percentage points from the previous month, for two consecutive months. The survey unemployment rate of local registered labor force was 5.1%; the survey unemployment rate of migrant registered labor force was 4.9%, of which the survey unemployment rate of migrant agricultural registered labor force was 4.8%. The survey unemployment rate of 31 large cities was 5.2%, down 0.1 percentage points from the previous month. The average weekly working hours of employees in enterprises nationwide was 48.8 hours. At the end of the third quarter, the total number of migrant workers in rural areas was 187.74 million, an increase of 2.8% year-on-year.
