French startup Heliup has raised 10 million euros (10.5 million USD) to build a photovoltaic panel manufacturing facility at an undisclosed location in France. The funding was provided by a consortium of investors led by Starquest Capital, including EIT InnoEnergy, the Investment Banking Division of Banque de Paris, real estate group Idec, and the French State Investment Bank.
The company said it plans to use the funds to build a light-weight solar cell production facility in France with an initial annual capacity of 100 MW. The facility is planned to be operational by 2024.
