Recently, with the commissioning of Unit 4, the Henan Tianchi Pumped Storage Power Station, which was constructed by Water Resources Eleventh Bureau, has been put into commercial operation three months ahead of schedule, fully achieving the goal of all four units being put into operation this year.

Located in Mashiping Township, Nanyang City, Henan Province, Henan Tianchi Pumped Storage Power Station is a major energy infrastructure project in Henan Province. The project consists of an upper reservoir, a lower reservoir, a waterway system, an underground plant and a ground switch station, with a total installed capacity of 1.2 million kilowatts, and four single-unit pumps with a capacity of 300,000 kilowatts each. The designed annual power generation is 962 million kilowatt-hours. The Water Resources Eleventh Bureau undertook the construction of the upper and lower reservoirs, spillways, diversion tunnels, intake/outlet, and ground switch station of the Tianchi Pumped Storage Power Station. Among them, the upper reservoir dam is 118.4 meters high, and the lower reservoir dam is 100.6 meters high.
