SMM steel reported on September 7th that the total inventory of hot-rolled coils this week was 3.6336 million tons, an increase of 3.63 thousand tons over last week, a year-on-year increase of 1.01% and a year-on-year increase of 7.88%. Hot-rolled coil inventories have continued to accumulate for six weeks, with social inventories continuing to accumulate and plant inventories slightly reducing. On the supply side, hot-rolled coil production continued to increase this week. On the demand side, the verification period of Golden September and Silver October has already entered, but terminal purchases are still cautious and there is no large-scale replenishment behavior, and the accumulation rhythm of social inventories remains unchanged.
