Housing price data in 100 cities released by the China Index Academy today showed that in August, the average price of newly built residential properties in 100 cities fell by 0.01% MoM, with the decline being the same as in July, and fell by 0.17% YoY. The average price of second-hand housing in 100 cities fell by 0.38% MoM. It has fallen month-on-month for 16 consecutive months. The decline narrowed 0.01 percentage points from July, and the year-on-year decline expanded to 2.29%. Industry insiders said that policy optimization in core first- and second-tier cities is expected to further strengthen. With the improvement of regulatory policies, the property market in core cities is expected to usher in sales recovery during September and October.
