SHANGHAI, Aug 23 (SMM) - Mainstream traded prices of #0 zinc were 20520~20660 yuan/mt today, 20560~20690 yuan/mt for Shuangyan zinc, and 20450~20590 yuan/mt for #1 zinc.
Most trades occurred with premiums of 90-100 yuan/ton over the average SMM zinc price. During the second trading session, regular domestic brands were quoted with premiums of 240~260 yuan/mt over the SHFE 2309 zinc contract. Shuangyan zinc was quoted with premiums of 280~290 yuan/mt over the contract. Available cargoes in Shanghai were extremely tight. The average premium rose to around +100 yuan/mt. Premiums of imported zinc were 90~100 yuan/mt.
