On the afternoon of August 18th, a promotional event was held at the Qian Deng Hu Hotel in Nanhai District, Foshan City. At the event, the People's Government of Nanhai District signed a contract with Guangdong Ruipu Lanjun Power and Energy Lithium Ion Battery and System Manufacturing Base Phase II Project.

It is reported that Ruipu's Power and Energy Lithium Ion Battery and System Manufacturing Base Project invested and constructed in Nanhai District is planned to build a high-end power and energy lithium ion battery and system and intelligent, highly automated manufacturing base to meet the needs of large-scale production.

The first phase of the project has a total investment of 5.5 billion yuan, a designed annual capacity of 16GWh, a land area of 220 mu, has already settled in Nanhai, and is expected to be in trial production this year. The second phase of the project is under preparation, with an investment of 7 billion yuan, a designed annual capacity of 16GWh, and a planned land area of 200 mu. It is expected that the output value will exceed 10 billion yuan after reaching production.
