SMM hot rolled coil inventory: Social inventory decreased slightly, factory inventory growth rate slowed down. On August 17th, SMM steel reported that the total inventory of hot rolled coils was 3,515,100 tons, an increase of 7,400 tons from the previous week, a year-on-year decrease of 2.21%. This week, the total inventory of hot rolled coils continued to slow down, social inventory ended three consecutive weeks of accumulation, and the growth rate of factory inventory also slowed down. On the supply side, the output of hot rolled coils continued to increase this week. On the demand side, with the fading of the adverse weather effects in the early stage, the low-price transactions in some areas have improved, and the terminal demand has been released.
