According to the decision of the Chairman's Office at the beginning of 2023, the China Iron and Steel Association organized the Development Research Center of the State Council, the Price Monitoring Center of the National Development and Reform Commission, the Metallurgical Economic Research Center and 9 steel enterprises to analyze 9 futures products such as iron ore and rebar that have already been listed, and form the "Assessment Report on the Impact of Futures on the Operation of the Steel Industry", proposing to further optimize the existing futures product system, prudently promote the listing of relevant new products, cancel night trading, strengthen the joint supervision of spot and futures across departments, and steel enterprises strengthen relevant system construction. This morning's report has been reviewed by the Executive Council, and the next step will be to solicit opinions from all parties and form a special report to be submitted to the relevant state departments.
