The National Disaster Reduction Commission Office and the Emergency Management Department recently held a consultation meeting with the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry of Water Resources and other departments and units to discuss the national natural disaster risk situation in August. According to the comprehensive analysis, there is a high risk of flooding and other disasters in many parts of North and South China; 2-3 typhoons may land or have a significant impact on China; there may be a stage of high temperature and drought in the north and south of the Yangtze River; the geological disaster risk is high in Fujian, Hubei, Chongqing, Sichuan and other localities; and the forest fire risk level is high in some parts of Southwest China and Xinjiang.
