SMM weekly review and forecast for cobalt intermediate products

The price of cobalt intermediate products increased last week. Based on market performance, traders are shipping goods at high prices. Spot intermediate transactions are made at high prices. Recently, overseas refined cobalt prices continued to rise. Prices of domestic cobalt-based products went up continuously, pushing up cobalt ore enterprises’ quotes of cobalt intermediates. On the supply side, the shipping capacity in South Africa is tight, and the shipping schedule of some mining enterprises has been delayed for a period. The market expects that it will be difficult for intermediates to arrive in large quantities earlier than September and October. In the market outlook, prices of intermediates may continue to rise.
