The prices of the middle and outer layers of high-purity quartz sand remained stable last week. At present, the price of inner layer sand for quartz crucible of leading enterprises is 270,000-299,000 yuan/mt, the price of middle layer sand is about 170,000 yuan/mt, and the price of outer layer sand is 100,000-120,000 yuan/mt.

Other domestic companies kept prices of outer layer sand unchanged at 70,000-90,000 yuan/mt. The popularity of photovoltaic high-purity quartz sand has decreased recently.

Although the supply of inner layer sand is still tight, after the operating rate of silicon wafers dropped, the weaker demand has eased supply tightness. In addition, industry insiders recently revealed that some production lines of middle layer sand have entered the final stage of equipment debugging and are expected to be put into production in the near term. That will ease market concerns over supply tightness.
