Weekly review and forecast of ternary cathode precursor

SHANGHAI, Jun 20 (SMM) -The prices of ternary cathode precursor rose slightly last week. On the cost side, the cobalt salt and nickel salt prices rose. Prices of low-nickel precursor failed to rise due to weak demand, while those of medium and high-nickel precursor rose with the cost. The leading enterprises are still expected to increase production in June, and cheaper raw material costs will enable them to sell at lower prices. The ternary cathode material producers wanted to cut the prices of precursor due to the price pressure laid by downstream battery makers. The prices of ternary cathode precursor may stay stable.
