SHANGHAI, May 16 (SMM) - The domestic nickel sulphate market saw a supply surplus of 3,554 mt in Ni content in April, down 62% MoM. Nickel salt manufacturers made a substantial reduction in production in April due to the high nickel sulphate inventory in the previous month, but the weak downstream demand still resulted in a supply surplus. In May, the supply surplus will rise to about 4,527 mt in Ni content as the ternary precursor companies will not ramp up their production.
