SHANGHAI, May 16 (SMM) - Consumption showed no signs of recovery in early May. Many secondary aluminium alloy plants remained closed or cut production due to poor orders and losses. The Labour Day holiday also disrupted production. Therefore, the operating rates will continue to fall in May.
The average operating rate of secondary aluminium alloy producers stood at 56.1% in April, down 3.1 percentage points MoM, but up 12.17 percentage points YoY.
