Weekly Review: Polysilicon Prices Extend Declines

SHANGHAI, May 12 (SMM) - The mainstream prices of recharging polysilicon and dense polysilicon were 148-155 yuan/kg and 145-152 yuan/kg respectively this week. The Polysilicon Price Index was 143.86 yuan/kg. The prices of polysilicon continued to fall, and the mainstream prices in the market have dropped to as low as 145 yuan/kg. Bearish market sentiment and tough attitude of silicon wafer companies contributed to lower prices. However, downstream companies still intend to maintain their raw material stocks at safe levels.
