China Passenger Car Association: Retail Sales of Passenger Cars Reached 1.65 million units in April

During April 1-30, the retail sales of passenger cars stood at 1.65 million units, a year-on-year increase of 58% and a month-on-month increase of 4%. The sales totalled 5.93 million units in 2023. The wholesale sales of new energy vehicles were 1.78 million units, a year-on-year increase of 87% and a decrease of 10% on the month. The total sales stabilised at 6.85 million units in 2023, up 7% YoY.
