SMM Weekly NMC Material Market Review and Forecast 

SHANGHAI, May 4 (SMM) – The prices of medium-nickel NMC materials rose slightly last week, while those of high-nickel materials continued to fall. Affected by the divergent price trend of lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide, the manufacturing costs of high-nickel NMC materials continued to decline, while those of medium-nickel materials rose slightly. After panic sell-off earlier, some NMC material producers began to hike their quotations now that lithium prices have stabilised. Downstream inquiries picked up, and a small amount of transactions have been completed. NMC material prices are expected to stabilise amid wait-and-see sentiment in the lithium salt market.
