Price Decline of Medium and Heavy Rare Earths Accelerated Last Week

The prices of terbium oxide fell further last week. The mainstream transaction prices were lowered from 9.9-10 million yuan/mt two Fridays ago to 9-9.1 million yuan/mt last Friday, down 9%.

Terbium metal prices were lowered from 12.7-12.9 million yuan/mt to 12-12.1 million yuan/mt, down 5.9%. The transactions prices of yttrium oxide changed little last week.

The price decline of medium and heavy rare earths accelerated last week.

The prices of terbium oxide and terbium metal fell quickly due to the weak purchasing willingness of downstream magnetic material enterprises.
