China’s industrial-grade lithium carbonate output in April is expected to fall to 12,365 mt, a drop of 10% MoM. On the demand side, downstream buying interest did not improve significantly as end-user demand decreased. However, the significant output growth at causticising plants caused demand for industrial-grade lithium carbonate in March to increase slightly by 1% month-on-month.
Entering April, the willingness of the downstream to stock up remained weak, and the demand is expected to decrease by about 6%.
