Mixed Premiums of Lump and Pellet

Premiums of lump extended gains this week, while those of pellet declined.

Entering April, although the heating season in the north has ended, Shanxi and Hebei still have requirements for environmental protection and production cuts when encountering heavy pollution weather.

Combined with the first round of coke price cuts, the demand for lump has not dropped significantly, which supported the lump premiums.

The weaker demand for building steel eroded into profits of steel mills, thus the demand for high-valued products such as pellets was still weak, lowering pellet premiums.
