Lithium salt plants in Yichun city, Jiangxi province, are trying desperately to get rid of lithium slag that is generated during lithium carbonate production process amidst the ongoing environmental protection checks and rectifications. Local lithium salt plants are forbidden to fill in lithium slag or store them in open air. As a result, lithium slag prices have crashed from 100 yuan/mt to zero, but they are still unwanted, with no deals being struck.
